Graphics
Project Scope
A prominent Developer in Lafayette reached out, seeking custom interior graphics for a new development in Downtown Lafayette, called Luna Flats.
Educate
An eye sore on Main Street was not being rescued and turned into a building of apartments and retail. The site was once the home of a theater named Luna. The area of the site was once in the heart of the “theater district” of our historic Old City, once having 13+ theaters built from 1906-1921.
The owner wanted to highlight the history of the site through images, news articles, old ads from the time, etc.
A fun twist to this project was highlighting the old sewer that not only ran through this stretch, but was also a headache in the growth of the city, lovingly called Pearl River.
Teamwork
I worked closely with the local Historical Association, sourcing images I had written down during research and from materials the client had passed along.
With our copywriter at my side, she helped bring to life the images with compelling captions and an informative timeline.
appearance
Due to the age group that will be renting the apartments, it was important that the interior graphics gain interest and have a style that adds to the aesthitics of the mid-century style interior areas of the lobby, elevator lobbies, and the Penthouse landing.
